I have been on both hotnun and sloeginfizz, and the graphics are just going nuts. I have been in & out of browsers. Graphics look good to begin with and then totally mess up shortly thereafter. Huge type faces in completely different fonts from normal, completely reconfigured pages. What's up?

Sat, August 8, 2009 - 2:15 PMI am also getting lots of little "?" in turquoise boxes inside of boxes where tangerines and Ms should be. My friends list is now a long vertical line of pictures instead of the usual montage. Everything looks messed up. Including this thread. -

Just in case tribe , or whatever is left of it, falls apart completely, beyond repair? or what do you mean by "documenting"? -

I don't believe this site experiencing any data loss.
The issue Tribe has been reporting has all been related to the image server going down and then working on the proper configurations to bring it all back up with all of the image data restored.
'Documenting' could mean the direction tribe needs to take to restore all of this data from the image server.
They don't have a manual to do this so maybe they are writing it as they go? -

Tue, August 11, 2009 - 4:17 AMCarolyn, you say, the image server is fixed, but the "wonky graphics" bit is still a hit and miss thing. Every so often I open my home page and the layout is all wrong, the friends are in a vertical row, there are no photos and the writing in blue and green, or I open some tribe page, and a few images and avatars are gone and have crosses in them. Then I click refresh and the spook is gone, I go to another page and the spook is there again. And it seems to be several servers. I remember seeing kir once. This has been wrong since tribe came back up after the weekend. -

Tue, August 11, 2009 - 4:37 AMBy documenting we mean how tribe.net was architected, configured, etc. Very little information was left behind by the time we started managing the site.
As for the hit and miss graphics, yes, we see it too. The cache servers are rebuilding so this should resolve itself eventually. -
