I just wanted to open my tribe page (I stay logged in, and had just read it 10 minutes before) and found myself signed out and was asked to log in. So I did and got the horrible exception page. I closed and reopened my browser window and my tribe homepage was there no problem. So far I have seen this happen only when tribe was under maintenance. Do you do maintenance jobs now that last only a few minutes or was this some other bug? I don't think I have ever had that happen before. "Horrible exception" was just that, so far- donut time. The server that is working now is sloeginfizz, if that is of any help.

Re: momentary tribe crash?
Sun, October 4, 2009 - 4:32 AMThis happened to me as well, but I had to open a different browser before I could get back in. I tried Twitter to get information, but received no response. I found out that other people were still on tribe when I received an e-mail re. a personal message. It was then that I switched from Safari to Firefox and got back in. -

Re: momentary tribe crash?
Sun, October 4, 2009 - 4:56 AMCould it be one of those partial downtimes? Like kir or bellini or whatever is not working at all today while if you are lucky you hit one of the other ones? -

I'm on Julip right now but 2 other previous attempts to log in would not connect to a server -

Re: momentary tribe crash?
Sun, October 4, 2009 - 10:52 AMYes, looks like around midnight last night the webservers disconnected from the database. They've all been reattached now, thanks for letting us know! -

Re: momentary tribe crash?
Sun, October 4, 2009 - 5:43 PMOne thing I've noticed -- if you use remember me but find yourself suddenly logged out, that seems to happen if the app server you hit has disconnected from the db. When you do try to log in, that app server might give an error message or the ugly java exception.
If you're able to get on another server you might find you are still logged in...

Re: momentary tribe crash?
Fri, October 9, 2009 - 10:03 AMthe last two days I have been getting "internet explorer cannot display this webpage", like tribe.net is off the web altogether. Again and again and again. And when I manage to get on (bullgarita and martini are thwo servers that seem to be working here) it is excruciatingly slow. Until I get another one of the "Internet explorer cannot..." What's wrong with the servers? -
