This first happened last night, and just started happening again.

I go into a tribe of which I am the moderator.. while I am reading a thread, the screen refreshes and tells me
The Tribe you have requested was not found.

The Mojito server was doing this to me this morning Glen.
Maybe try closing your browser and starting again with a new one.

You mean your screen auto refreshes? There's nothing in the pages set to do this that I know of... I deployed a new build very early this morning (around 3 am PDT), so you may have run into glitches while a server was restarting (even though I did take them offline first)... But "tribe not found" is very strange... are you sure it wasn't "server not found"? Could you tell if it was a tribe.net page with the error or a generic browser page error?

It was not server not found. I was in the tribe.. the page had loaded, as I started to read and then all of a sudden it did some type of refresh telling me that the tribe was not found. as If I were looking for a tribe.

this was on two separate computers, two completely different worlds. One was home, one was work. One was last night, one was right before I made this thread.

The refresh thing is odd, but was it by chance a private tribe? that would explain the "tribe not found" message if you were getting logged out on a crashing server, though I haven't seen any crashes today so far... If you can, make a note of what server you're on when this happens.

              thanks!

it was the Casaderenfaire tribe. Not private.

next time it happens, I will try to get a screen shot and post.

Yes, just as Glen is describing, same thing happened to me. However, both times it happened I WAS in private tribes. But I would go in, sometimes even click on a thread, start reading it, then boom.. it would give me the "Tribe not found" page... if I clicked the back button, it would put me right back into the tribe again.

I'm thinking maybe the page hadn't completely loaded to begin with and stalled at some point? As far as I know, this has never been reported before. If you can get a screen shot next time it happens, showing the server name as well, that would be helpful.

Here is a photo of the error which I have been coming across a LOT. I posted a blog about it days ago, but I just joined this tribe. And what would you know, it happened even in this tribe as I was attempting to post about it.

Thanks -- screen shots are very helpful. If possible, also include the URL in the address bar (so we can see what tribe you were looking for), and the server name at the bottom of the page (so we know what server is having problems).

I'm posting another screenshot in the album... I think the server name is "hotnun.tribe.inner" (that's what the lowest line of text on the page said) but that doesn't show up in the screenshot, although it has the address bar this time. It happened when I was trying to open this particular thread in this tribe. I've already figured out one way to deal with it. Normally if you just let the error happen, it then takes you to your home page, but you can stop the error from occuring by hitting the "stop loading this page" button in the browser (Firefox for me) before it does show up.

Ok, I just posted screen shots.. it happened on the Bellini server.

But it is SPECIFICALLY happening right now going into ONE thread on One tribe. The other threads seem fine.

Ok, I'm on bellini... which tribe, which thread?

And to clarify, the page just instantly refreshes itself? You're not hitting f5 or anything to cause it to?

The error screen appears and then auto-redirects you to the home page.

It really could be related to ads. All the text will load, and then the error will occur while other stuff is still loading.

That one Tribe T1t (member only) and the one if you could invent a robot. (and I think they are right, it could have to do with the advertisement) yes, I do nothing but click in to the thread, and it refreshes while it is loading.

whatever someone just did, I was able to get into that thread for the first time today.

I'm not sure anyone did anything. Sometimes the problem (whatever it is) rights itself.

But if it doesn't right itself, my trick works. You have to have a quick mouse finger but as soon as the text loads you can hit the "Stop loading this page" button in the browser (it at least works with Firefox, I haven't tried on any other browsers) and it will keep you in the thread. If it's a long thread it may not be clear if all the text has loaded, but a couple attempts should yield success. Even if it takes you to the error page and then your homepage, you can hit the back button twice and then stop the page from loading to the point where the error occurs. A temporary work around until the error is resolved.

Nothing has changed on this side that would cause this, but google's ad code could well be causing problems if it's loading something that causes the page to refresh. I have yet to see this happen, but we'll try to find out what's going on there, thanks for the tip.
