Instead of my friend's blogs it was asking me to invite my friend's to tribe. I tried editing the module but that didin't help. I deleted the module... and went to "customize your homepage" to add it back, and the option isn't availble. What the heck happened?

Firefox with Windows 2000 at home.
I configured my home page to only show friends' blogs, but yes, its showing the blue box with the same text. Exactly as Lord J decribed. I find if I go to my indivual friends, I can see blogs they've written in the last 24 hours, but I can't seem to see them as a group.

Wed, June 13, 2007 - 2:40 PMIf you go up to the top menu and choose browse/blogs it will show you the blogs as a group. A good fix for the short term, but I would like to see my friends blogs again soon... it is one of my top favoritest things! -

can everyone please try this (or confirm if you already have), and let us know if it has any effect: clear your cookies and cache, close your browser entirely, reopen it, type www.tribe.net into your browser window (rather than accessing tribe via a bookmark or link), and log in.
any change in the appearance of your friends' blogs module? -

haven't hit "edit" on ANY of the modules on my homepage for quite some time, not even to move them around or anything.
and I haven't touched the blog module since this started last night. (I keep hoping it'll magically reappear if I keep my eyes shut and leave it alone, kinda like those nursery-rhyme sheep, haha)
I cleared my internet cache early yesterday, but the blog module was fine for most of the day after that.
do you still want people to try the clear all cookies experiment? -

Wed, June 20, 2007 - 9:22 AMolkay, i decided to try an experiment. I removed the module where my friends blogs used to be. After tinkering for a minute, I found the way to add it back in, and still got the gray invite your friends prompt.
Don't know if that helps. -

I'm guessing we're talking about the same thing here, where a module is tracking recent activity of friends in 1 degree ( including blog posts ) what's odd is just one post is showing up by one friend. my wife's account dosn't show anything and she has the same person on her friends list.
this is in ie and firefox on winxp pro sp2. browsers have been closed, all temp cache files down to index.dat have been wiped, puter has been rebooted with no effect. the user icon bug is an irksome cosmetic thing, but this hits at the functionality of how I interact with the site, seeing who on my list has made new posts and replies. my friends blogs are the primary course of interaction on this site so the site might as well be down, that's how crippling this bug seems to me. -

and....
still no blogs in the module.

we CAN still view our friends' blogs... top left module on the homepage, click "my stuff", then "my friends blogs"
it's not the same as having them on the homepage, but at least we have a work-around until this bug gets fixed!

PLEASE MAKE THIS A PRIORITY if at all possible - the blogging is one of the things that makes Tribe so unique to me. If its not available then I'm not very interested in checking it out.

Thu, June 28, 2007 - 11:20 PMthink that I have this figured out. tribe in their altruism wants us to go forth and either explore other social networking sites or leave the net altogether and play with the friends we found here in real life. they no longer want us to use this site on a regular basis, and I'm taking this shoving out of the nest message hard but will honour their wishes. it's good that no staff member has mentioned anything for quite some time or I might have a glimmer of hope that the porch light was on. -
